Privacy Policy

Visitors to the Caring for ME website are important to us. CaringforME.org does not record personal information about you without your permission.

Collection of Information

CaringforME.org automatically collects some information when you look or search through our web pages. CaringforME.org collects only the information needed to tailor communications and to track longer-term employment outcomes. The information collected includes the following:

• The date and time of your visit.
• Information about your browser type and operating system.
• The parts of our website you visited.
• The Internet address of your computer and the site that sent you to us.
• If you used a search page to find us, the search terms you entered.

CaringforME.org does not ever automatically collect information like your name, address, e-mail address, or phone number. Be aware that in order to apply for jobs or trainings through CaringforME.org’s partner sites you may need to provide personal information. Supplying this information is voluntary and subject to each site’s respective Privacy Policy. We do not use or place spyware on your computer.

Online Forms

Any information you supply during the completion of an online form will be considered voluntary. This information will be treated the same as any provided to a potential employer or for a training course. It may be necessary to share this information with another state agency for proper handling.

Form submissions on CaringforME.org may be stored for a time. This will allow us to respond to the request, forward it to the appropriate agency, or to provide valuable feedback to help improve the website. Please be aware that under Maine law, e-mail addresses are public records, and as such, are subject to inspection by the public.

Subscribing to Email Alerts

When you provide your email address through forms on our website, we will use that email address to notify you about the content on CaringforME.org that you have subscribed to. We will not sell your data, nor will we share it with others outside of CaringforME.org or to its service providers. At any time you can opt out of emails from us by clicking on the unsubscribe links on the bottom of emails you receive, replying to the person who contacted you, or emailing healthcaretrainingforme@maine.gov and requesting to be removed from the mailing list.

Information presented on the CaringforME.org website is done on the behalf of state agencies. If you find something that is out of date or wrong, please contact healthcaretrainingforme@maine.gov. Do not include any sensitive data, such as your personal information, when you contact us to correct data inaccuracies. The secure transfer of this type of information will be arranged later if necessary.
